Did you know that Butte County Republican Party Chair Teri DuBose is also a cherished member of Chico Evening Republican Women? Teri has been attending our meetings for about 3 years now and CERW will be featuring her as the speaker at the October 27, 2026 meeting.
The meeting will take place at The Italian Guy Catering, 25 Bellarmine Court, Chico, with a social time scheduled for 5:30 PM, followed by the meeting from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Teri DuBose has had a tough year – beyond tough. She was the assistant to Congressman Doug LaMalfa until his untimely and tragic death in January of this year. Their office had been working like dogs to try and fight the gerrymandering of Congressional District 1 by Gavin Newsom, lost that battle, and LaMalfa was driving up and down the state trying to campaign for reelection when he passed away suddenly in January.
This was a heavy, heavy blow to Teri, because Doug LaMalfa was her boss, but also one of the kindest men she had ever known, a great leader, and she could barely imagine life without him. She helped plan the service for over 3000, wound up LaMalfa’s work in the office, and mourned.
In June she had a life threatening health episode that put her in Enloe Hospital. After a few weeks in the hospital she recovered at home with the help of her wonderful daughters and many loving relatives and friends. As soon as she was on her feet again she began a new position as the assistant to Butte County Supervisor Doug Teeter! Teri began that job in September.
DuBose has continued to lead the Butte County Republican Party with the help of BCGOP 1st Vice President Tyler Smith, overseeing the opening of the BCGOP Headquarters, redesign and launching of a new website, coordinating events and activities, and… WORKING!
Chico Evening Republican Women are proud of the accomplishments and work ethic of Teri DuBose and hope you will attend our meeting to hear from her on Tuesday, October 27th at 6:00 PM. See you there!
