Chico Evening Republican Women will be welcoming Chico State TP-USA leader Addie Snyder and Redding TP-USA’s Evan Jones to the June 23, 2026 celebration of the 250 year anniversary of the founding of the United States, our Constitution, and Freedom of Speech.
April marked the successful return of the Turning Point USA chapter at California State University, Chico. Leading the effort is Addie Snyder, a junior at Chico State, who has played a key role in reviving the conservative student organization after nearly 18 months of inactivity on campus.
Reflecting on the chapter’s relaunch, Snyder said, “Everyone I talked to about bringing it back was enthusiastic. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with students eager to get involved and help make it happen.”

The group held a meeting on campus and once again set up an informational table outside Glenn Hall in May. Throughout the day, students stopped by to welcome the organization’s return, offering encouragement and expressing appreciation for having a stronger conservative presence on campus.
Our other featured speaker at this event will be Evan Jones of Redding TPUSA. Evan Jones is a student leader known for serving as the president of the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter at Simpson University in Redding, California. He has organized and hosted conservative and faith-focused events on campus and at the Redding Civic Auditorium, including a “Faith Night” that featured gospel messages, worship, and guest speakers. Jones has collaborated with other local TPUSA chapters, such as those at Shasta College, to promote civic and religious engagement among youth in the Redding area.
