Chico Evening Republican Women are proud to announce the results of the election held Tuesday, July 22, 2025!  We elected Gina Bax as the new President of our club, and Lora Shipley as 1st Vice President.  Their terms will last from August 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027.  Thank you, Gina and Lora, for stepping up for these important positions!

Gina Bax is originally from Columbia, and is incredibly proud to be an American citizen.  She is very enthusiastic about the Republican Party, and has been active in Republican politics in our area for a number of years.  Gina served the Butte County Republican Central Committee as Secretary for 2 terms, was the president of another Republican women’s club in the area, then joined CERW in 2024, becoming the 1st Vice President during that term.

Happily married, Gina has 5 daughters that keep her busy.  She enjoys politics, being a Mama Bear, and loves crafting, cooking, and several other hobbies.  She has been an absolutely fabulous 1st Vice President this past year, booking speakers, attending important community events, making contacts for the club, and making arrangements for our meeting venue and menu.

Lora Shipley is also a welcome addition to our Board of Directors!  Lora also joined our club in 2024, has been serving as our club Chaplain, and has many years of experience in public service.  She is the Director of the Miss Chico Contest, and has a great deal of talent in many areas, including interior design, public speaking, and is a certified Chaplain.  She has been a business owner for most of her career.

With three grown chidren and six grandchildren, Lora is a busy lady!  All three of her children are successful in their personal lives and careers, which is a testament to her parenting.  Lora is originally from Pasadena, California, coming from a multi-generational Pasadena family with a wonderful history in that community.

Chico Evening Republican Women are proud and overjoyed to welcome two such terrific ladies into the leadership of our club!  Again, thank you Gina and Lora for your willingness to take the helm.
